PTSchool: Transmedia Tools and Strategies


PTSchool is a periodic training seminar for Jewish Community organizational professionals aimed at teaching tools and strategies for effective operations in the Digital Age. PTSchool participants discover and practice concepts and social media tools for communicating in the growing social media sphere. Through lectures, workshops, “laboratory” assignments, and learning challenges, professionals learn how organizations can build networks, activate alumni and constituents, use the web effectively, and enhance overall efficiency.

PTSchool Seminars are built to custom and can include the following modules:

1. Thinking Transmedia: Tools to “hacking it” in the Digital Age

Today’s organizations function outside of time and space, in a digital world that practically has a life of its own. Learn to master the Transmediastrategies and theories necessary to make your venture thrive in this new era. (Time. 2 hrs)

2. Digital Tools: Webtools Foundations

This seminar will train the participants on the foundational tools that every Digital Age professional should own, walking them through a series of toolsets evaluated by PresenTense over the past few years and shown to bring significant value to professionals. (Time: 2 hrs. including workshop)

3. The Social Web: Effective use of today's social media

This seminar will highlight the core set of social media tools, and demonstrate best practices in deploying them to engage a community. (Time: 2 hrs including workshop)

4. Guerilla Campaigns: Using Transmedia Theory and Digital tools to unlock organizational value
