Summer Ends

The 2008 summer session drew to a close Saturday night with the close of Shabbat. Fellows gave each other and the institute bittersweet goodbyes, but all eyes are to the future. PresenTense will continue to invest in the fellows and their ventures, and year-round PresenTense programs will continue worldwide.

yCombinator is an inspiration for the PresenTense Institute, and its founder, Paul Graham, is a favorite essayist of ours. One of our favorites, and something we recommend to every one of our fellows, is his essay How not to Die. Fellows Pitching Tonight @ 6pm

PresenTense's final "Windows Into the Future" begins tonight at 6pm in Jerusalem. There, the summer 2008 fellows of PresenTense will be pitching their ventures to the community. It's not just the culmination event of their work, but a testimony to the hours of support that volunteers, coaches, mentors, friends, colleagues, peers, and teachers, and more have invested in the fellows' projects. We're looking forward to seeing you there---please shoot us an email if you have any questions.
