Julie Cooper serves as Director of Public Relations for the Israel Government Tourist Office, Midwest Region, a position she has held since January 2008. She previously served as a student intern at the Israeli Consulate to the Midwest, working with both the Director of Academic Affairs and the Senior Policy Advisor. She is a founding member of the American Zionist Movement Chicago's Dor Hemshech (Young Leadership) Board and current Treasurer of the AZM Chicago Executive Board. She has a B.A. in International Studies, with a specialization in Israel, from the University of Chicago, and will be pursuing a Masters of Public Policy degree from the Harris School of Public Policy beginning fall 2012.

Zionism Unplugged is an educational program focused on topics related to Zionism and Israel. Through the use of primary source material discussed in chevruta (group study) style, the program seeks to provide Jewish young professionals with a space in which to engage and connect with these complex topics in an open-minded, non-partisan, and non-denominational environment.
