Rebecca is an associate literary agent with Sterling Lord Literistic, and an independent consultant specializing in launching new projects and bringing together public, private and non-for-profit partners. She has worked with a wide spectrum of organizations, governments and policymakers, including NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability, former US Congresswoman Denise Majette, IDC-Herzliya's Institute for Policy and Strategy, ATZUM: The Task Force on Human Trafficking, and with Nextbook (now Tablet), an organization devoted to Jewish literature, culture, and ideas. She currently devotes most of her volunteer-time to PresenTense and to cancer patient advocacy and education at treatment centers in New York and California. Rebecca holds an M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University, and her writing has appeared in Time Magazine and in The Journal of International Affairs, among other publications. A native Manhattanite, Rebecca began her career as a teacher in the former Soviet Union, and continues to teach writing in New York City.
