Pierre grew up wanting to be an explorer- as a child he was fascinated with the stories of exploring the deep sea and of Jack Cousteaue. He decided to follow this great explorer and entrepreneur footsteps and went to study Marine biology.
After a couple of years of finishing his studies he started working in the fisheries department in the Ministry of Agriculture. In his work Pierre “translated” all the scientific research input to an output for the decision makers including ministers in forms of recommendation of management. After 9 years and after a comprehensive reform in the fisheries management which Pierre advocated for and pushed forward in the Ministry he went on a new adventure. Today Pierre is the CEO and founder of OlfaGuard - a Bio-Nanotech startup developing in partnership with professor Hossam Haick and the Technion an E-nose capable of smelling pathogens on food.
